The 13^th “Hou Debang Chemical Engineering Science and Technology Award” was given to the winners in the annual meeting of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China on Sep 25^th, 2021. Many academicians and well-known experts attended the awarding ceremony, and a total of 49 chemical engineering researchers were awarded the prize, including Prof. Yunxiang PAN from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

In 1999, the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China established the “Hou Debang Chemical Engineering Science and Technology Award”, which is awarded once a year to commemorate Mr. Debang HOU's lifetime contribution to the development of chemical engineering industry, to encourage the cultivation of outstanding chemical engineering talents, to promote the emergence of scientific and technological elites, and to stimulate the innovation potential of researchers.

Congratulations to Prof. Yunxiang PAN!

Prof. Yunxiang PAN, researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering and winner of the National Outstanding Young Fund, mainly focuses on the research of catalytic reaction engineering. He developed new strategies for the synthesis of catalytic materials, realized precise regulation of the interfacial properties of catalytic materials at low temperature conditions, and designed a series of high-performance catalytical materials that can be applied to carbon dioxide capture and conversion, C1 small molecule conversion, harmless treatment of pollutants, biomedical detection, etc.
