报告人简介：
Jacques W.M. Noordermeer obtained his PhD-degree from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in Physical Chemistry, Rheological Properties of Polymeric Materials in 1974, under supervision of Prof. Dr. H. Janeschitz-Kriegl on a thesis titled: \"A Flow Birefringence Study of Polymer Conformation\". Subsequently, he spent 1½ years as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the Rheology Research Center of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisc. USA with Prof. Dr. John D. Ferry.

After his military service in the Netherlands, he joined the company General Electric Plastics in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands in 1977 where he held the position of Manager of Application Engineering. From 1981 onwards he worked for DSM Elastomers in Geleen, the Netherlands, in various positions, lately as Director Research and Application Technology for Keltan EPDM Rubber and R&D Coordinator between the facilities in the Netherlands, USA, Brasil and Japan. From January 1, 2000 onwards, Jacques Noordermeer holds the position of Professor of Rubbertechnology at Twente University, the only academic chair in this field in the Netherlands.

Jacques Noordermeer has over 300 publications and is the co-inventor of 10 patents.

2000 Best Paper – Original Contribution Award of the 157th meeting of the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society in Dallas, Texas, April 2000.
2005/2006 Gold medal of the International Rubber Conference organization (IRCO)
2010 George S. Whitby Award of the American Chemical Society, Rubber Division, for outstanding international teachers of chemistry and polymer science
