He has won numerous awards and has been extremely active in the community. His research interests are primarily focused on the exploration and development of new metalcatalyzed reactions and their application to the total synthesis of complex bioactive natural products. He has published well over 100 papers, articles, reviews and monographs. He has also delivered nearly 500 plenary and invited lectures at international conferences, symposia,universities, research institutes and companies.
